Fletcher Bank sandstone is a buff to grey, fine to medium grained
sandstone from the Millstone Grit series of Carboniferous age. The
none uniformity of the buff to grey mix makes this a very desirable
sandstone for many applications. Overall, Fletcher Bank is suitable
for most aspects of construction including walling, load bearing masonry
and cladding. The stone is extracted from the Fletcher Bank Quarry
on the outskirts of Ramsbottom, Lancashire.
